Valle de Guadalupe is an amazing wine and food destination in Baja California, Mexico. There are plenty of hotels to stay at, but if you are coming from San Diego, CA it’s also a great day trip! I had a great time there with my family for Easter Sunday. We started our day at Deckman’s En El Mogor for a ranch experience. This is the definition of farm to table, as you are sitting above the wine vineyard and vegetable garden. Anything else served is sustainable and local.

For our Easter brunch, they served food and wine at multiple stations, as opposed to a sit down dining experience. This allowed for a family-style feel and made it easy to mingle with others. Some of my favorite food items were the oysters, the pork tacos, and the chorizo omelette. The dining area of Deckman’s was also sustainable with metal and wood roofing. The walls were made of stacked hay as well. I loved how they hung twinkling lights to dress up the overall bare and rustic space.

One of my favorite things about Deckman’s is the site. I loved wandering around the vineyards and coming across a group of cows. Even the walk to the bathroom was scenic. As you walk through trees and flowers to get there, you will see a ton of roosters. The view of the mountains behind the vineyards was beautiful as well

On this casual Easter Sunday, I wanted an outfit that reflected the “ranch experience”, but was still modernized. I opted for a vintage western top paired with a high-waisted acid washed denim skirt. The balance of the skirt and long sleeved top worked perfectly for the warm windy weather. My accessories included mirrored Ray Ban aviators, silver jewelry, and a vintage 1960’s purse.
