After a long couple days of work and stress, I escaped to my favorite beach in Coronado, CA. Over the years, I’ve found myself getting caught up in the chaos of work life and forget to take a moment just to breathe. Times like these are what keep me going. There’s nothing like taking a moment to reset and enjoy the beautiful things nature has to offer. I love Coronado beach for so many reasons, but here are a few:
The Land: At Coronado, there is wide open sand. I love this because sometimes beaches can feel too crowded, which takes away from the idea of “escaping”. Also, this means more room for games! On yesterday’s visit, my boyfriend and I went for a game of bocce ball around sunset. Oh, and duh, it’s an island. Who doesn’t love islands?!
The Architecture: The Hotel Del Coronado debuted in 1888 and was the first beach resort on the west. The architecture is breathtaking and really makes feel like I’m travelling back in time, which again adds to the idea of “escaping”.
The Feeling: Between the amazing views and gentle waves, I always find myself at ease. Nature has a way of putting your problems in perspective. There is so much more to life than the day to day grind. I mean, just look at these photos below!
For a time like this, I kept things casual with jean shorts, a t-shirt, and a cozy hoodie. However, I just got my hair done and I thought I’d try to compliment it! My hair has a rose gold/peach ombre look going on and I’m loving it. If you’re looking for a stylist, definitely visit Christina DiCandilo at Cut Hairdressing in Downtown San Diego. For starters, I had to throw on one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses. These lavender shades by Free People can really spice up any outfit! I topped off my look with some pink lipstick to compliment the pink tones of my hair.
