Last night I celebrated my birthday with dinner at Double Standard in Downtown San Diego. The food was phenomenal! I highly recommend the bone marrow and pork chop.
I initially decided I wanted to celebrate here a couple weeks ago, when I was walking by and their patio furniture screamed my name. They have an awesome baroque yellow chaise and high back dome chairs. I loved the eclectic mix of bright fabrics on vintage forms contrasted with industrial fixtures. The details were everything here, including the drawings on the chalkboard walls to their logo printed on the toilet paper. My favorite element was their light fixture hanging over a farmhouse table. It was composed of butcher meat hooks and exposed light bulbs!
For my outfit, I rocked vintage reproduction navy blue overalls with a white leotard by American Apparel underneath. I accessorized with a chunky beaded red and white necklace and a pair of True Wedge white wedgies.
