After a relaxing Memorial Weekend in Palm Springs, I decided to take the back roads home to San Diego. I love being able to explore on long drives as opposed to hours of freeway with no views. My path took me through an indian reservation, Anza, & Aguanga.Â
Â
Initially the plan was to visit Borrego Springs after Palm Springs, but due to time it didn't happen. To my surprise, I stumbled upon the next best thing. While driving through Aguanga, CA, I decided to stop at a large lot filled with metal sculptures. I may not have made it to Borrego, but I made it to the artist of the famous Borrego sculptures home base. Ricardo Breceda is a metal artist specializing in custom sculptures. He is most well known for his Borrego Springs Serpent Sculpture. I love that what started as hobby for him turned into a career and art gallery.
